Let's get this party started

Thanks for stopping by! Sit back and enjoy the ride!
Hmmm....where do I start...I am here to introduce myself and think that the beginning would be the best=)
My name is Anna and I am 22 years old. My birthday is November 12 (for those gift givers out there! Just kidding!)
I am second oldest of nine children. I have an older sister, five younger sisters and two younger brothers. I have a brother in law and two nephews. I have grown up on a farm milking cows and goats, riding and training horses and everything else that comes along with farm life. I, along with all of my siblings, were homeschooled (some of my younger siblings are still in school). I graduated a year early and started college at 17. I graduated from Hannibal LaGrange College in Hannibal, MO on May 6th 2007. I have a BS in Speech Communication. I felt the Lord leading me into missions when I was 14 and prayed about where He would have me serve. He burdened my heart to pray for unreached people groups within West Africa five years ago and confirmed in my heart that I would serve among them about three years ago. I surrendered my life to full time missions and minisrty, in the states and overseas three years ago. I joined my team here in Nigeria at the end of July and can't imagine myself being and serving anywhere else at this point!
I am long winded in talking and in writing and the girls were saying that they may just have me write the blogs from now on! If you want to know what the Lord has been doing in my life since I got here, please check out my blog by following the link on the right.

Things that I like and enjoy are:
Coke
Making people laugh
Softball - I've played since I was seven
Babies
Smiley faces
The outdoors and camping/hiking, etc.
Oreos
My friends- DUH!
The color yellow

Hope that you have enjoyed getting to know me. I want to let you know that I appreciate all that you do for me and us as a team. There are go-ers and senders and we as team couldn't have "gone" without you back home to "send". Thanks for who you are in our lives!

SURPRISE!!!!!

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!! I just love my birthday and I made sure that the girls knew this. So they did some top secret operations. While Melanie, Sara and I were finishing off our new skirts. Kav got things ready for the party and everybody came in and hid. I came home thinking that we were going to have dinner with our supervisors and SURPRISE! Everybody was waiting for me. We had a great dinner and AMAZING chocolate cake. I also got some great presents including some African hippo art and an magna-doodle (amazing what you can find in Nigeria if you look hard enough). It was a great birthday in Nigeria. I enjoyed every bit of it.
