Our luxurious weekend get away!!

So here is a small glimpse of what we see. It has been a blessing to be able to be in the bush on the weekends and get so emursed in the people that you want to go back, or never leave. Because of this place we are surounded by H speaking people all the time!! Praise the Father!! Hope that this movie brings as much joy to your hearts as we feel everyweekend! God Bless. RRB

Today we celebrated Singles Awareness Day and to commemorate the wonderful event, we are providing you with a glimpse into our evening. This clip includes dancing, singing, and way too much silliness, provided by us and the mks who came over. We already know that we are a bit doltish (yeah, we looked that up in the dictionary)so try not to make too much fun. We hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day and remember "before you mock a man, first walk a mile in his shoes...because then when you mock him he will be a mile away, and you will have his shoes."

cooking 101.

well the other night we decided to make spaghetti. not a bad idea right? well lets just say that we are learning...fun times

so mel was in charge of chopping up onion, garlic and green pepper. she did great with two of the three. the third well... is the pepper and that was not so good. we are teaching mel to cook..... i know you're thinking 'thats IMPOSSIBLE' well i now agree.
as she was pouring the chopped pepper into the pot, i smiled. little did i know that she would put all of the green pepper in the pot.... SEEDS and ALL!! Needless to say the sauce tasted just like GREEN PEPPER!!! go figure? who would have known?? not mel.

*note: no animals nor any other sort of species were harmed during this experiment.... just our TASTE BUDS!!

what its like...

this is kav and i just have a few thoughts for the night. below are some pictures from TK and some of the kids. i just wanted to show you their smiles. i was totally reminded of the Word when Dad is talking to some folks and says that we need to be like little children and the fact that these kids who have NOTHING, are always smiling and never have a sad face [unless they are getting in trouble for being a little kid] for the most part however they always smile. so i had to ask myself. How often do i smile and is it because i am filled with joy or because i think that is what is required of me? i guess that is a question that i have to ask myself? what do i smile for? i have a lot and there are times that smiling is the hardest thing to do. so again i ask myself what can i do to be like these little kids?? to love Him more and to know that a childs heart is more precious than anything. Smile today. not because you have to or need to, but because you WANT to. Peace.

A little too much water

So Kav and I (Melanie) decided the other night that it was time to clean out the fridge. We didn't want it to look like the one in the video so we threw everything out. Well we were out of dish soap so we put all the dishes in the sink and filled it up with water to let them soak overnight. We sat down to watch a movie and heard a rather strange sound. Kav asks, "What is that?" and with a look of "oh my goodness, what have we done" I yelled, "the water!" We ran into the kitchen and saw the water pouring over the edge of the sink onto the floor. We turned the water off, laughed and tried to mop all the excess water out the front door. Then we mopped the floor for the second time that day. We were thankful for our concrete floors at that point in time!

Burr its COLD!!!

This is Melanie being a dork, she is in her natural state... this was during our first campout ;second week in africa...realizing that AFRICA IS INDEED COLD!!!!! burrrrr......

Finally?

So i guess that we are cool now that we have a BLOGSPOT!!
Ha. Anyway. We wanted to share our adventures with everyone and this seems to
be the best route. *However please note: the power here sometimes works, our
files are usually way TOO big, and therefore the result may be that this site is very random! smile.
But would you REALLY expect ANYTHING less than RANDOM from any of us? I mean come on!!
Thank you for your love and support thus far. We pray that these stories about what the Father is doing in West Africa
will bless you as much as we are being blessed. We ask nothing of you but this:
Pray that we will be in His Word daily and that we are completly led by the Spiriit in everything that we do.

are thinking about FOOD?? hummm......
